2008 Cy-Fair Tournament
Houston, Texas, 6 - 7 December 2008
How do you play? The Outlaws play hard! And Cy-Fair was the place to see it.

The first game on day one was against the Plano Lady Panthers -- a Dallas version of the Outlaws. The Lady Panthers are a team of elite club players that gave us a great game. Unfortunately, our slow start led to a loss in a very close game. We knew that we needed to make a few adjustments for our second game of the day.

Game two was against Houston Woodlands High School. We found our stride, fixed our morning problems and even left some skin in the game. This time we came out on the winning side of the match-up. Day two would bring us our toughest challenge yet.

The SPC Elite team is a group of high level Houston private school players; but this was our best game of the tournament. The defense was relentless in transition and impenetrable down low. The communications was the best we have ever done, the offense was on fire, and we truly played as a team. Once again the Outlaws came out on the winning side.

We finished in our division in a three-way tie for first place. By tournament rules we did not advance to the play-off round due to our slow start in the first game... our goals against were higher than Plano's. Coach Jo and Coach Charlotte gave each of us a thorough verbal and written evaluation of our play. This excellent feedback will be put to good use as we prepare for our next trip to San Diego!
